Many teachers work in geographical isolation, and may not have access to channels of professional communication (journals, conferences, in-service training courses); different countries have widely differing educational systems and philosophies, resulting in teachers being subject to different expectations and pressures.

无意间翻到《贝塔斯曼书友会》(20081月)宣传册,有这样的问答:

“想无师自通,英语出口成章?”

“读赖世雄美语,轻松克服语言关!”(Pp. 23

在充分肯定和欣赏《贝》能够通过这样巧妙的语言赢得消费者信任的同时,我想到的是,更多的消费者在不了解英语语言学习的情况下,花了大量的时间、金钱和精力,却收不到良好的效果。正如许多关于减肥的广告,通过各种方式,让消费者甚至专家都认为这样的产品可以让任何人达到另他(她)们满意的效果,其实不然。其关键在于,每一件物品,都会有它的优越性,却也有它的弊端。这件物品不可能适合于所有人,归根结底,每个人都需要找到最适合自己的那件。

我又想到我身边想学习英语的朋友都会询问我,究竟什么样的教材好,英语该如何学。其实,教材、方法都是因人而异。

今天,我想借助自己八年英语教学的实践和经验,谈一谈《赖世雄美语从头学》究竟适合哪一类英语学习者,也好使朋友们有个参照。

 一、         关于理念

我非常赞同赖世雄先生的英语学习方法(摘抄、整理如下)。其实,96年李阳先生创办的《疯狂英语》有声杂志也是相似的理念。我自己多年来学习英语也是这样做的:

1.       熟听录音带上美籍老师的发音,刻意模仿,并把自己的发音录下来比较对照,再修正自己的发音直到自己满意为止。

2.       注重连音及语调,使发出来的声音自然流畅。

3.       随时利用时间自行对话,增加说英语的机会。

4.       善用零星时间:我在走路、等车、坐车、休息的时间都在说英语或看英文书籍。

5.       勤查字典,了解句意后,就利用零星时间慢慢地念,一遍又一遍地重复念,竟然使我能够凭声音记住单词、短语或句子,不知不觉中说英语的速度也越来越快了。

我一直对博客没什么好感。总觉得有炒作之嫌,是一群闲着无聊的人花大量的时间去探讨一个个所谓的“热点”。我总以为,一个真正生活的充实的人是根本没有时间写什么博客的。博客本身,也不应当是提升自己人气以及人生价值的手段和工具。

可是,我现在还是打算写自己的博客。其实,更确切的说,我是要完成我多年来一直想坚持的《我的教育教学实录》。早在2001年,我就在校青年教师基本功大赛的演讲比赛中提出这一想法。在接下来的几年中,我坚持过,却因各种原因,丢失了许多珍藏着的资料。使得我的《实录》残缺不全,令人遗憾。

如今,我想借着博客,这样一个平台,把我的《实录》书写下去。因为按照我当时《实录》的构想,它是让我自己迈向成功的一种促成方式。人需要思考,有思考就需要有文字记录,《我的教育教学实录》记载的是我每天教育教学工作的实况,是我每天最真实的想法。这些想法的集合将是自己教育教学理念的体现,是对我的工作巨大的指引。

我曾想过,我要过精彩的人生,这辈子要留下些什么;我也曾考虑过,我要留下的,就是我的教育教学思想;我更加确定,教育教学思想很难留下,但实录可以留下。那么,从今天开始,我将用我的博客书写我的人生。
